MY TOP 3 AUTUMN WINTER COATS AND JACKETS

There are so many amazing jacket trends available this autumn winter, it’s been a real tricky one to decide which ones to invest in, but I managed to get it down to three. If my money could have stretched that far I would have made it five but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

I’ve made it no secret that my flow of finances are low because both my husband and I have been out of work for a while. I never intended to go back to work after having baby, as I wanted to make blogging and youtube my full time job, whilst my husband has been out of work due to a horrible knee injury. Oh the timing…

Anyway, Luckily for me my brothers’ have been spoiling me every so often and have been sending cash here and there to buy a few things which I’m so grateful for.

I’m looking forward to the day when I can spoil them as much as they spoil me!

So, my first jacket has to be my formal slim fit coat which I bought from ASOS. I love this coat so much which is a shame because it’s sold out again – like everything else I try to recommend people to buy! I have linked it on this post in petite but I would say go for it anyway because I bought the jacket originally I did have to send it back and go for a smaller size because for a slim coat it was HUGE.

It’s described as oatmeal in colour on the ASOS website but I feel it’s more of a light beige.

It’s also a good idea to wear a light coloured jacket with a darker palette, as it brings out the coat so much more than if you wore all similar type colours.

My second coat is my oversized wool blend coat which I’m sure you must be sick of seeing now but it really has become a staple in my wardrobe.

You can dress it up or down and either way it still makes your outfit look full of character and presence.

I bought this coat from ASOS sometime in the summer so it’s sold out completely now – although it did come back in stock briefly on the website a couple of weeks ago.

If I can find it, I’ll link it, if not I’ll link an alternative instead.

Again, this coat was described as oatmeal aswell but as you can see this coat and the slim fit coat prior look nothing alike in terms of colour. That said I love the colour of this one just as much as it really gives the autumnal feel of the season as well as being easy to wear with most colours in my wardrobe.

It’s warm enough I guess, but it has no fastenings, and as you can imagine the draft does get in. You definately need to layer and wrap up warm to get full effect of this wool blend coat.

Last, but by certainly no means least, I’ve decided to feature my leather jacket. A leather jacket is such a staple item as it’s so easy and versatile to wear.

You can go for many types, many colours, and of course different price points depending on the type of skin or quality the leather is.

I’ve had my leather jacket for a few years now and I bought mine from Topshop. It featured a faux shearling collar but as it was removable I decided to take it off.

Somewhat like the oversized coat, all the leather jacket needs to carry you through the winter is some good layering.

One leather jacket trend which is really taking the high street by storm is the suedette biker with borg lining. I absolutely love this style of the leather jacket and am definately looking to invest in it soon.

Although it is a seasonal piece, it is something that can remain a staple in your winter wardrobe as it’s still quite basic and literally goes with anything. I can’t wait to get my hands on mine!

Otherwise, I hope you guys enjoy the new look to the blog and I’ll catch you in my next post.
